Just introduced in April, the new Zeiss SFL 8x50 Binoculars combine outstanding optical performance with a lightweight design that is ideal for birders. Zeiss’s innovative optical design that uses thinner lens elements and optimized lens distances combines low weight with exceptional optical performance in the Zeiss SFL 8x50 Binoculars. The large exit pupil of the SFL 8x50 ensures bright, clear views of birds by delivering 42 percent more light, a feature that is especially helpful in low-light conditions, but welcome anytime.
The wide field of view provided by the new Zeiss SFL 8x50 Binoculars, which measures 395 feet at 1,000 yards, is especially helpful when viewing fast-moving birds, including birds that are flying, as well as when you scan broad landscapes. The lightweight magnesium housing used for the SFL 8x50 not only contributes to the reduced weight of these binoculars but it also ensures rugged durability and comfortable, fatigue-free observations for years to come.
An exceptional amount of light passes through the glass lenses to the viewer as a result of the UHD concept and the large entrance and exit pupil distances. The Zeiss T* multi-coating also maximizes brightness and color accuracy to provide detailed views of birds, making it easier to identify and observe different species. The phase-corrected roof prisms and lenses that provide high light transmission values ensure exceptionally clear views too.
The new Zeiss SFL 8x50 Binoculars were produced with special extra-low dispersion lenses to minimize distracting color fringing, and the combination of Field Flattener Technology and aspherical lenses ensures consistent image sharpness to the very edge of your binocular view. With a wide field of view and a close focusing distance of just 6 feet, birders can experience every detail when you encounter birds in close quarters.
Comfortable binocular use for birders was central when designing the new Zeiss SFL 8x50s, and you will find that they are perfectly balanced and feature quick, precise focusing. The SmartFocus system provides sharp views from close focus to infinity with just 1½ turns of the ergonomically positioned focus wheel. The optimized weight shift to the eyepiece ensures a comfortable balance and enables long and relaxed observations of the birds you find. When birding in poor weather conditions, these Zeiss Binoculars retain a clear view and the LotuTec lens coating ensures water rolls off the lenses during rain or when birding on the water.
The Zeiss SFL 50 series includes 3 new models with 3 different magnifications: The 8x50, the 10x50 and a 12x50 model. To learn more about the new series of Zeiss SFL 50 Binoculars, start with the 8x50 model at ZEISS SFL 50 Binoculars | Feel the intensity. Not your equipment.
