The Aurora BGA VHD 8x42 Binoculars are Opticron’s top of the line birding binoculars that have been improved to be smaller and lighter, and provide brighter, sharper views of birds. They also provide a wider field of view of 423 feet at 1000 yards and a shorter close focus distance of 6 feet. The Auroras feature the VHD optical system that incorporates field flattening technology and high-quality ED glass objective lenses. The BAK-4 prisms are Oasis phase-corrected with S-H type multi-coatings on all air to glass surfaces, and the rubber armored chassis is waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging.

The eye cups have twist-up detents and the eye relief is a generous 20mm.
