March Birding Festivals

Birding Festivals are truly celebrations of birds and birding, shared by participants that range from every age to every level of interest in birds. With birding festivals taking place across North America each month, you can find one nearby, or visit a more distant location that you have always wanted to see. You can observe resident, wintering, migratory, and endemic bird species on field trips with accomplished birders, including bird photographers. Increase your knowledge of birds and bird behavior during live programs, workshops, and keynote presentations too.

Many birders relish the chance to shop for optics, field gear, books, feeders, and get an idea of birding tour options on an international scale from vendors attending festivals. There are children’s activities and family fun too, and best of all, you have the chance to meet and enjoy spending time with others who share your enthusiasm for birds and birding!

Few of the birding festivals held across the United States and Canada are recent endeavors; most have a long and successful track record with some continuing for more than 2 decades and a few prospering more than 4 decades! New communities and interested groups continue to start their own Birding Festivals to serve local and state birders, and grow year to year with local citizens, businesses, and wildlife groups finding a sense of community in the event – along with economic benefits birders generate.
