June birding festivals provide participants with a variety of ways to learn more about the birds in a given area, with a chance to be in the field with local guides to assist you, and to learn from keynote speakers, researchers, and other birders who make each birding festival unique and exciting. One of the outstanding events scheduled during June takes place in the Land of 12,000 Loons, in central Minnesota at the National Loon Center, during the Loons and Lakes Festival. There is also the annual Snake River Raptor Fest, which takes place in the midst of the Birds of Prey National Conservation Area in Idaho, with other exciting festivals on hand in Washington, Montana, Maine, and California during June.
