The new Pentax 7x42 Binocular.
|
Ricoh Imaging announces the release of 4 new Pentax Binoculars in its sport optics line – the full-size Pentax SD 7x42 ED Binoculars and Pentax SD 10x42 ED Binoculars, along with the new lightweight compact binocular models, the Pentax AD 7x32 ED Binoculars and the Pentax AD 10x32 ED (A-series) Binoculars. The Pentax SD 7x42 ED and the Pentax SD 10x42 ED roof-prism binoculars feature large 42-millimeter diameter objective lenses and ED glass elements – a first for the S-series – to deliver sharp, high-contrast views while birding in a variety of lighting conditions, even in low light.
The main features of the full-sized Pentax SD 7x42 ED and SD 10x42 ED Binoculars include bright, clear views while birding, while these new models provide sharp, high-contrast images due to the application of a full multi-coating process to all lens surfaces including a special coating designed to optimize light transmission. These binoculars are the first Pentax S-series models to incorporate ED (Extra-low Dispersion) optical elements for effective compensation of chromatic aberration. Owing to the dependable waterproof construction, these models can be used in almost all weather conditions and you can easily rinse them clean with water. Their nitrogen-filled design prevents the interior lens surfaces from fogging, which can be caused by sudden temperature changes.
The exterior binocular housing is made of thermoplastic elastomer resin to improve your binocular handling comfort and grip. The easy to use diopter adjustment mechanism has a non-slip, ring-type adjuster, and the extendible eyepieces permit an effortless shift between in-use and storage positions. These Pentax binocular models are easy to mount on a tripod when combined with the optional TP-3 Tripod Adapter. The top-of-the-line binoculars in the S-series reduce glare and ghosting with the application of the full multi-coating process to all lens surfaces and the special coating designed to optimize light transmission.
The New A-series Models
The Pentax AD 7x32 ED Binoculars and the Pentax AD 10x32 ED Binoculars build on the Pentax A-series legacy of offering outstanding viewing performance and superb operation in a smaller compact, lightweight body. These roof-prism binoculars are the first in the A-series to incorporate ED (Extra-low Dispersion) optical elements to deliver a sharp, high-contrast view that rivals that of higher-end models. In addition to bright, clear views of birds, these new PENTAX A-series binoculars are highly portable, making them suitable for a wide range of outdoor and indoor viewing applications.
With each of the new Pentax SD Binocular models, you receive a case, neck strap, objective lens caps, and an eyepiece lens cap. All 4 of the new Pentax Binocular models are available at www.us.ricoh-imaging.com and at Ricoh Imaging-authorized retail outlets.
