Late summer migration is heating up with far-ranging birds arriving from Europe and Asia, as well as continental species far out of range, including the First State Record Calliope Hummingbird observed by several birders in Bismarck, North Dakota. New Hampshire birders sighted the First State Record Magnificent Frigatebird and the same female was photographed in Massachusetts. Plus, the week was really spiced up by a Willow Warbler, Common Shelduck, Curlew Sandpiper, Common Ringed Plover, and Mexican Violetear!
