BirdsCaribbean Hosting Hurricane Relief Fund

Folks are still reeling from monster Hurricane Irma and now another dangerous Category 5 Hurricane, Maria, is hitting the islands. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Puerto Rico, including our many friends, colleagues and partners, who are getting pummeled at this very moment.

We are also worried about and anxiously awaiting news from our partners in Dominica and Guadeloupe, as well is the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the DR, and others that have been or are in Maria's path. Please stay safe and let us know how you are as soon as your communications are restored.

We are all filled with sadness to see the devastation and the upheaval of countless lives from these storms, not to mention the damage to the environment and deaths of thousands of birds. Our hearts go out to our friends that are suffering and to the birds that are also struggling to survive.

We, BirdsCaribbean, have set up a https://www.razoo.com/story/Birdscaribbean-Hurricane-Relief" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?hl=en&q=https://www.razoo.com/story/Birdscaribbean-Hurricane-Relief&source=gmail&ust=1506544881452000&usg=AFQjCNFwMJ_KYXDtNRWmAjl0btWem9rfLg">Hurricane Relief Fund to help people and wildlife. The funds we raise will be distributed to our partners across the islands to help them get back on their feet and replace what was lost in the storm—from notebooks, materials and binoculars to offices and infrastructure. We will also be helping to fund bird surveys to learn the status of our invaluable endemics, residents and many migrants, and species recovery and habitat rehabilitation actions by our partners, such as planting native trees that feed birds and provide habitat.
