The MDRT Foundation has awarded the Kansas Wildlife Federation a generous grant to support the 30th Anniversary session of their Outdoor Adventure Camp. Funds will be invested in outdoor sports equipment, educational materials and for purchasing logo shirts for the campers. Outdoor Adventure Camp (OAC) is a six-day summer camp for kids 10 to 12 who either enjoy the outdoors or want to learn more about it. This conservation education program is co-sponsored by the Kansas Wildlife Federation, Outdoor Writers of Kansas and Kansas State University Cooperative Extension Service.
Tommie Berger, Camp Coordinator says, "The Outdoor Adventure Camp has inspired thousands of youth to truly appreciate nature and has provided an outdoor classroom for environmental education that is typically not available in traditional school curriculums. Our kids learn life lessons and some go on to conservation careers"
Kansas businessman, Duayne Madl, a member of the Million Dollar Round Table organization, sponsored the grant application and award.
