The ABA Rare Bird Alert’s Weekly Highlights

A First State Record Mottled Duck was documented in Canonsburg Lake, Pennsylvania last week.

Always exciting, a new First North American Record was established by birders who found a Gray-collared Becard at Cave Creek Canyon in Arizona! First State Records were also documented by birders last week, including a Mottled Duck in Pennsylvania, a Heermann’s Gull in New York, and a Scott’s Oriole in Montana; plus a First Provincial Record Limpkin was recorded in Ontario – what a week! Excitement was also created by a Slate-throated Redstart in Texas, a Curlew Sandpiper in Ohio, and many more rare birds.
