May is the busiest month for birders, and it’s packed with the most birding festivals of any month of the year. Each event is a great opportunity for newer birders, families, and long-time birding enthusiasts to mix and enjoy a variety of opportunities during field trips, birding walks, workshops, art and photo competitions, social opportunities, and much more. From the Copper River Delta in Alaska to Presque Isle in Pennsylvania, whether you attend for a few hours or a few days, we all prosper when we attend annual birding festivals.
