While there is a remarkable list of Continuing Rare Birds this season, because there were no true Really Rare Bird sightings reported last week, let’s turn to some of the Eurasian species that we tend to accept as “kind of rare,” and tend to overlook in this weekly list. Similarly, 5 Tufted Ducks were reported in New York, California, British Columbia, and Newfoundland. There were shorebirds too – 2 Ruffs – 1 in Oregon and 1 in Newfoundland.
