Weekly Rare Bird Highlights

Birders continue to report a Northern Lapwing at an urban wetland area in south Baltimore, Maryland.

It’s a rare week when there are no new state or provincial records to report, but there were plenty of new rare bird sightings and continuing rare birds to share, including a number of Eurasian species: Birders found a Northern Lapwing in the city of Baltimore, Maryland, a Gray Heron in Nova Scotia, a Gray-tailed Tattler on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, a Brambling in the Yukon, and a Bananaquit was sighted on Key Largo in the Florida Keys. Plus, the Steller’s Sea Eagle continues to excite birders almost daily in Maine.
