Organizational Profile: We seek an individual with the talent, passion and desire to promote and grow the nation's leading upland wildlife habitat conservation organization. Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) have over 740 chapters, 145,000 members and an $80 million annual budget.

Job Purpose: The primary responsibility of this position will be selling sponsorship and advertising packages to deliver marketing goals for corporate partners, while generating revenue for the organization to achieve its habitat mission.

Reports to: Vice President of Marketing

Responsibilities and Duties:
Working with a wide array of corporations to sell sponsorships, magazine advertising, digital promotions, special events, royalty relationships, licensing agreements, and corporate sustainability. Likewise, this person is responsible for ensuring all the obligations of these relationships are delivered.
Creative thinker who can successfully conceptualize and sell inventory around habitat conservation, hunting, bird dogs, sustainable agriculture, and outdoor recreation.
Experienced in making cold calls, writing proposals, conducting pitch meetings, closing sales, drafting contracts, and executing advertising assets.
Supervise, coach, and manage an internal team of sales people and an external team of outside sales representatives
Lead the National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic site and city evaluation process.
Oversee National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic sponsorship and booth sales, as well as fulfillment of those agreements.
Prepare and meet an annual budget based upon renewing partnerships and generating new business.
Provide timely communication to employees, chapters, and members about new partnerships.
Looking for a team player with a positive attitude who will work sports shows, membership events, banquets, etc. and other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Position is based at the Pheasants Forever, Inc. National Headquarters in White Bear Lake, Minnesota (location is not negotiable). This position involves 40 to 60 days of travel per year and includes nights and weekends.

Reporting Relationships: This position manages an internal team of sales people and an external team of outside sales representatives. The Corporate Partnerships and Sales Team is part of the organization's Marketing Department.

Job Specifications: Minimum qualifications for this position include:
· At least eight years of experience in successful sponsorship, advertising and event sales.
· B.S./B.A. in business, marketing, or related field.
· Strong interpersonal, written, and customer communications skills.
· Organized, detail oriented, hard-working with proven coaching experience.
· Extensive contacts within the outdoor, hunting, bird dog, and habitat conservation industries.
· Knowledge and business contacts within the agricultural industry considered a plus.
· Savvy social media user considered a plus.
