Bird Watching in Coastal Louisiana With Capt. Wendy Billiot

Bird Watching Excursions take you to the heart of one of the most rapidly disappearing wetlands in the world, Theriot, Louisiana. Coastal Louisiana loses about 18 square miles of wetlands a year due to natural and man-made causes; impacting all living things.

● How wetland loss negatively impacts habitat, resident and migratory bird species and populations

● Local & Wading birds

● Migratory Songbirds and Neotropical birds

● Birds of prey (eg. Bald Eagles, Osprey, Hawks)

● Brown and White Pelicans, seasonally

Excursions include: a two-night stay at Camp Dularge, half-day boat trip into the wetlands and introduction to local culture & cuisine.

Rates: 4 participants - $500 per person / 5 participants - $400 per person / 6 participants - $335 per person (For less than 4 participants, the entire weekend flat fee is $2,000)
