Experience the Western Field Ornithologists' (WFO) 50th Annual Conference in Ashland, Oregon this September 17 to 20! Celebrate with WFO members during 4 days of exceptional birding, science, and community in the beautiful Rogue Valley and beyond. Each year, the Western Field Ornithologists host a multi-day conference featuring scientific presentations, field trips, workshops, panels, a keynote address, the annual membership meeting, and community events in a spirit of camaraderie.
Each year, conference locations rotate to prime locations in western states to balance the geographic breadth with accessibility for our members. This September, join WFO members in Ashland to honor 5 decades of field ornithology and look ahead to the next 50 years, and join the fun and exchange of new information from field researchers. Hosted by the Oregon Birding Association and Klamath Bird Observatory, this milestone WFO gathering will center at the Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites to serve as the base for an immersive program designed for birders, naturalists, and ornithologists.
Conference highlights include: Expert-led field trips to premier southern Oregon habitats; science sessions featuring cutting-edge research and regional studies; and skills workshops and panels to sharpen identification, field techniques, and science literacy.
