Superb Lyrebird
|
Male Superb Lyrebirds use flashy feather displays and amazing mimicry to attract mates. These Australian endemics have been known to imitate the sounds of 20 other species of birds – in a single song! Some lyrebirds take mating behavior a little further by imitating car alarms, chainsaws and even camera shutters and motor drives!
