Birding Mecca Getaway

Calling all bird lovers (and lovebirds) to the Huron House Bed and Breakfast in Oscoda, Michigan, for a new birding event in the region! This Spring is the first Tawas Point Migration event! This means that from May 17-19 guests can catch many glimpses of Whip-poor-wills, Redheaded Woodpeckers, Trumpeter Swans, migrating warblers and Baltimore Orioles. They may even take a field trip with a focus on the unique Kirtland’s Warbler habitat.
Tawas Point, which is on the shore of Lake Huron, is a natural birding hot spot in the Spring as migrating birds follow the shoreline to their summer nesting habitats. Huron House is located right on the shoreline, making it an ideal spot to see feathered friends.
