Last Call for the BirdSpotter Photo Contest

Action photos of birds like this Yellow-headed Blackbird displaying and calling can attract the attention of contest judges.

This Sunday, February 5th, is the deadline to enter your favorite bird photograph in the BirdSpotter Photo Contest. Thereafter, 10 finalist photographs will be selected from all the entries by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Wild Birds Unlimited staff. Finalists will be posted on the BirdSpotter Voting webpage, where birders can vote for their favorite entries between February 13 and March 12, with the winners announced in mid-March. With the chance to win hundreds of dollars in prizes, be sure to enter your best bird photo by Sunday.

The BirdSpotter Photo Contest is open to American and Canadian birders who are 18 years old at the time of your entry, although birders under 18 years of age may participate with a guardian’s permission. Wild Birds Unlimited and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology will award the following prizes, based on the voting results: $300 Wild Birds Unlimited gift certificate for First Place, $200 WBU gift certificate for Second Place, $100 WBU gift certificate for Third Place, and each of the Top 10 photographers will be invited to choose a free Bird Academy online course.

Everyone can get involved by voting for your favorite among the selected Top 10 Photos between February 13 and March 12.
