New Free Bluebird Book for Young Birders

One of the 3 bluebird species found in North America, seeing a Mountain Bluebird has inspired many young birders to learn more about bluebirds (photo by Eric Gofreed).
The new publication, Get to Know Bluebirds, is a Free downloadable book for young people interested in birds.

Designed to make learning about bluebirds a fun and appealing adventure, especially for young people interested in birds, this new publication was produced by the North American Bluebird Society (NABS) to interest more young people in the 3 species of bluebirds found only in North America. The Free downloadable book, Get to Know Bluebirds: A Guide for Young Nature Lovers, is aimed at a youth audience, but provides a great introduction to anyone interested in learning more about bluebirds and how we can benefit these popular cavity nesting birds.

Written by Myrna Pearman, biologist and nature writer-photographer, with the assistance of Beth Zimmerman Smith and other members of the NABS Education Committee, its pages are graced with beautiful photographs donated by birders from across North America. Get to Know Bluebirds is available as a Free downloadable PDF file that can be used digitally or printed out. The Bluebird Society encourages you to download the book and share it as widely as possible, according to Dr. Bernie Daniel, President of the North American Bluebird Society.
