Arizona Mule Deer Organization President Joins Arizona Wildlife Federation Board of Directors

Phoenix, AZ  - Jim Lawrence, President of Arizona Mule Deer. Org (AMD), has joined the Arizona Wildlife Federation Board of Directors as the Arizona Mule Deer Organization representative. AMD is a 501(c)3 non-profit wildlife conservation organization, dedicated to the recovery of Mule Deer in Arizona. Jim has years of practical conservation experience and is looking forward to serving on the AWF Board. Recently, representatives of the Arizona Wildlife Federation spoke with the AMD Board of Directors at their monthly Board Meeting. The AMD Board subsequently voted unanimously to join other Arizona conservation groups as members of AWF.

“Arizona Mule Deer is a conservation group focused on habitat projects and now with our participation with the Arizona Wildlife Federation, we have the perfect partnership.” Says Lawrence. “AWF is at the forefront of critical issues facing Sportsmen and Women in Arizona, they have their finger on the pulse of Wildlife Conservation.” Jim plans on taking an active role on the AWF Board, particularly with issues such as the possible lifting of the Uranium Mining Moratorium near the Grand Canyon along with other habitat and access issues related to mule deer. The Arizona Wildlife Federation is an affiliate member of the National Wildlife Federation, which was founded in 1923.
