24th Annual Rio Grande Birding Festival Nov. 8-12

The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is in its 24th year, and the birds are still awesome! First-timers can expect 30-75 new birds on their list, and at least that many new birding buddies.

Five days of field trips with our fantastic guides to the coastal marsh, the riparian border, the ranchlands to the north and chaparral up the Valley can bring a plethora of new birds, some of which are only seen here in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.

Speakers Noah Strycker and Nancy McAllister will be sharing their respective big years, and Nathan Pieplow will make us aware of the many ways to use bird sounds in identifying birds.

A fabulous trade show (called Birders Bazaar for a reason) and huge silent auction should fill up your second suitcase. Join in the daily socials, and the big Western BBQ on Saturday night.

Come meet old friends and make new ones at this 24th Annual Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival, Nov. 8-12. Arrive in Harlingen on Tuesday, Nov. 7th to pick up your registration materials, as Wednesday is the first day of field trips! Welcome back, y'all!
