Hummingbird Banding and Natural History Event in Whitewater, Wis.

Visit the Scheunemann Farm on Saturday, September 16th from 0730 – 1030 in Whitewater, WI. Observe beautiful gardens and hummingbird banding. The Scheunemann's have 9+ nectar feeders and countless perennials attracting hummingbirds, myriad of songbirds, and monarch butterflies.

Join us for a wonderful exploration of Larry and Emily's fabulous farm. Learn how to landscape for birds, butterflies, and gain valuable information about the ruby-throated hummingbird with an informal presentation. Also witness the safe and important banding process of hummingbirds. Visitors will watch master bander Michelene O'Connor band, take various measurements, and explain the value of banding these flying jewels.
