See monarch butterflies up close, learn about them from an expert, and make a caterpillar craft at Summit Lake State Park, Sept. 16.
This program begins at 10 a.m. at the Harvey shelter behind the nature center.
Monarch expert Helen Steussy will share her knowledge of the species, including why they are declining, how to help, and why they like milkweed so much.
The event is free after paying the standard gate fee of $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
