Indiana: Beginning Birding Workshop at Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary

The Indiana Audubon Society is hosting a special beginning birding workshop at its Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary, outside Connersville, on September 23. The 3-hour workshop will begin at 2pm. The workshop will be led by Indiana Audubon Executive Director, Brad Bumgardner.

The Indiana Birding: Crash Course is an introductory and interactive series being offered statewide to introduce nature enthusiasts to bird watching. The workshop will include both indoor and outdoor sessions, including a look at the history of birding, important bird areas in Indiana, purchasing and using binoculars, and an introduction to the common birds of Indiana.

Registration for the workshop is $15, with discounts for Indiana Audubon Society members. Registration is in the events page at www.indianaaudubon.org/events.
