Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival Jan. 25-30

Florida's Space Coast will be hosting the annual Birding & Wildlife Festival, which is regarded as one of the top birding events in the nation. This area provides prime stopover habitat for many migrating shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, and passerines. In fact, more than 330 species of birds have been seen here. So it is easy to see by this event was also chosen by the Southeastern Tourism Society as one of their top 20 events, the festival's location is home to the largest collection of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States, as well as one of the most diverse estuaries in North America – the Indian River Lagoon.

Event Description: Revered as the top birding event in the nation, this festival offers participants the opportunity to explore world-renowned natural areas of Florida's Space Coast, home to the largest collection of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States.


Festival activities include: field trips and outdoor workshops, offshore boat trips, nature-based exhibits, Art Show and Competition, classroom presentations, informal meet-and-greets with national experts and enthusiasts regarding birds, plants, photography, optics and technology.
