Learn About Nest Boxes at Horicon Marsh Apr. 30

HORICON, Wis. - Join Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center April 30 from 1-2:30 p.m. for a hands-on walking tour of various nest boxes located around the marsh.

Participants will learn more about cavity nesting birds and what they can do to improve habitats from experienced nest box monitors. Featured birds include Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, Purple Martins and Wood Ducks. Also, attendees will have an opportunity to contribute to the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas.

This program is free and does not require advance registration - no previous experience is required. And, don't forget to check out the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center's new Explorium.
