Lincoln, Neb. Wild Bird Habitat Store Honored at Wild Bird Expo

Lincoln's Wild Bird Habitat Store was selected as the "Best Store with a Birding Emphasis" from among thousands of backyard feeding specialty stores across the U.S. and Canada at this year's Wild Bird Expo.

The retail award was sponsored by Ray David, publisher of the birding industry's periodical, "Birding Business," and Mel Toellner of Gold Crest Distributing in Mexico, Mo., where the expo was held Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

Nominees were submitted by a candidate search committee, with the winner selected by birding industry leaders from across the U.S.

"Lincoln's Wild Bird Habitat Store has done a remarkable job educating customers, merchandising and marketing wild bird products, and impacting their community with an appreciation for birds and nature," David said in a news release.

Lincoln's Wild Bird Habitat Store opened in 1993 and now has two locations, one at 4840 Orchard St. and the other in the Alamo Plaza at 56th Street and Nebraska 2.
