Schlitz Audubon Xtreme Raptor Day Nov. 8

Milwaukee, WI (October 22, 2014) - Fifteen resident birds of prey headline Schlitz Audubon Nature Center's Xtreme Raptor Day on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The 7th annual event takes place from 9:00am - 4:00pm at 1111 E Brown Deer Rd, Milwaukee.

The Center's premier collection of protected birds of prey emphasizes raptors (hawks, owls, eagles and falcons), but also includes a turkey vulture and an American crow. The newest member, Cutright, a peregrine falcon (pictured), will be introduced at the event. The birds are not releasable into the wild and are now amazing educators who inspire and thrill.

Some of the other activities that attendees will enjoy:

Talon Quest Adventure Hike

Free flight raptor shows

Owl pellet dissection

Presentations by Dianne Moller (Basics of Falconry) and Dr. Bruce Beehler (Birds of Botswana)

Meeting Wapaha, a visiting golden eagle
